Trotter

Trotter is Dior's older monogram, a woven and printed canvas the house used across saddle bags, flat shoulder bags and pouches, mostly from the years before the current logo treatments. Listings run to browns and blues, with reds and pinks behind them, and much of what is here is vintage. Coated and woven canvas from this period fails at the folds and the corners, where it thins to the backing and the print goes. Check both, then the leather trim, which dries and cracks, and the hardware, which is plated and often has lost its finish. Silk and jacquard linings from these years mark and cannot be cleaned back.
