Constance

The Constance is a small, flat shoulder bag closed by the house's initial worked as a large metal clasp across the front, on a strap that adjusts to be worn long or doubled short. Pressed and box calf are usual, in a wide colour range. Black and blue lead. That clasp is both the design and the wear point: its plating rubs where it meets the flap, and the fittings loosen with use. Check it carefully, along with the flap edge, the strap at its adjustment holes, and the corners, which on a flat bag of this size take most of the knocks.
