Trussardi

Trussardi began in Bergamo in 1911 as Dante Trussardi's glove workshop, and gloves are the reason the house has always handled thin leather well. His grandson Nicola took the business over in the early 1970s, opened a Milan store and widened it into bags, luggage and accessories, adding the greyhound emblem in 1975. Ready-to-wear, denim and fragrance followed in the decade after, and Japan became one of its largest markets. Our catalogue has not yet matched model names to this house, so listings here are best compared on material and condition rather than by line. Expect a wide spread: soft nappa and glove-weight lambskin at one end, coated canvas and hardware-led totes at the other, with the greyhound stamped, embossed or cast in metal depending on the era.
